Our fun-loving bride and groom come from cultures filled with color – Indian, Mexican and Iranian. They wanted to pay homage to their backgrounds with a bright and colorful day, and focused on an elegant Mexican fiesta. For their ceremony, Hawthorn Flower Studio created gorgeous overflowing bougainvilla and greenery climbing the gazebo, as if it always was there. We added an intricate Indian rug from Sarah’s family home to ground the ceremony space as a focal for Sarah and Keon to be married on. Keon’s long time family friend and judge was able to provide a personalized ceremony with meaningful background on their relationship.

Sarah’s bridesmaids chose their own red lacy dress which we paired with a white bouquet; while Sarah was opposite of the ladies in her white dress with her brightly colored bouquet. The Gentlemen looked dapper in their suit and tux rentals from The Black Tux.

As guests moved throughout the venue to a beautiful cocktail space, they were met with a fun cocktail of a spicy margarita and Persian inspired appetizers. Sarah’s mother sourced all of the tiles that were placed on each guest place setting as a favor for them to take home. We used this idea of tiles throughout their day on all of the stationery as a border to our seating charts, bar menus, and signage. We decided on a clean all white look for the dinner tables, giving letting the flowers and the napkins with the tiles steal the show. Sarah’s mom lovingly handcrafted their table number tiles as well. The table decor wouldn’t be complete without ample choices for hot sauce to accompany their Mexican inspired family style meal. Guests then kicked off dancing with a traditional Mexican wedding marching dance, led by Keon’s family.
