Slide Ranch is a special venue, tucked away along Highway 1 between Muir Beach and Stinson Beach – it’s a little gem of a wedding location and truly felt magical the first time I visited. There are ducks and goats and chicken that you’ll pass by on the way down to the reception area, and being a huge animal nerd, my heart felt completely at peace here!
Abby and Adam are my kind of clients – they knew they wanted an outdoor wedding that felt part of nature, and weren’t afraid to get a little dirty in the process. The first time Abby and I spoke, I asked her about their engagement, which just so happened to take place at the top of one of my favorite hiking spots in Oakland – I knew we were meant to be!
They love earth tones and knew they wanted these colors reflected in their wedding design – we selected blues reminiscent of the ocean as runners, beautiful earth toned napkins and a neutral base linen; the blue runner really helped to have her wildflower inspired centerpieces pop — oh, and those centerpiece vessels? Abby spun those herself on a pottery wheel. I loved the personal touches throughout their day, and one of my favorites was the pie from Mission Pie they served for dessert — Adam used to sell homemade pie in Dolores Park many years ago from the back of his bike and they used his pie server as their pie cutter! Meaningful details, I love ’em!
