Amanda and Will have one of the most unique stories of how they met, and utilized thoughtful details throughout their day to pay homage to their story. Amanda is a viticulturist, and while she was going to graduate school, worked at Will’s family blueberry farm over two summers, which is how they met and began dating. Will is an environmental lawyer, giving you a glimpse into the compassion these two have for the land, they are truly a perfect match in so many ways. Fast forward to their wedding day – they incorporated blueberries from Will’s family farm in their signature cocktail, blueberry flowers from the farm in Amanda’s bouquet, and their favors were a beautiful lavender blueberry jam created from the family blueberry farm! Plus, their ceremony had beautiful references to the growth of their relationship and likened it to grapes and blueberries.
One of my favorite (many) highlights from their day was their first dance. Will’s uncle played the guitar, and one of Amanda’s sisters sang their first dance song at the end of cocktail hour, just as the sun began to set. Meaningful details and elements like these my heart skip a beat.
A huge congratulations to two of the most incredibly passionate, caring and thoughtful people I’ve ever met!
p.s. Amanda and Will sell the blueberries at the Ferry Building in SF on Sundays too!
