Planning styled shoots is always so much fun — the ideas and possibilities that flow through your head seem endless, and somehow you have to wrangle them up, and determine a strong direction for the shoot to ensure cohesion and a beautiful result.

For this shoot, we used inspiration from the California coast along Highway 1 to play into our more laid back vibe with a lounge on the sand, and easy pillow seating at our low dining table.  Our bride sported a pony for the second half, the perfect laid back and practical beach up-do.  We utilized the color tones of a California sunset – oranges and pinks to create a more romantic beach setting, and utilized these colors which are often less used in traditional weddings – especially the oranges! Going with a boho vibe, we added in Moroccan wedding blankets and poufs, and a Moroccan inspired low table and wove the pink sea salt throughout the shoot as an homage to the location. Our hope is for brides to be inspired by this laid back bohemian vibe, yet enthralled with the romance that can still come with a bohemian beach wedding.  And the icing on the cake… the back of the dress is a CAPE!

As always, it wouldn’t be possible without an amazing team of creatives…
