This year has been flying by, I can’t believe it is already the last day in May! Back in the off season, I told myself I would get so much done for our wedding and share more about our journey and process, but lo and behold, time escaped me and I have regretfully been terrible about blogging more about my own journey as a wedding planner planning my wedding.
I want to share our mood board for our day and a little about our design, without giving away too many juicy details. Dave and I both love the outdoors, nature, and natural inspired elements. First and foremost, I wanted to make sure we were able to fuse our easy going personalities and our love of modern and clean design, with some eclectic and bohemian touches throughout. Our guests are traveling great distances to be with us and we want to make everything feels special and hope to wow them with a fun design story that feels natural, different, fits well with the aesthetic of Yosemite, and feels reflective of Dave and I as a couple.
The venue is surrounded by breathtaking rock walls of Yosemite, and the venue itself is made of stone with teal accents. We’re incorporating tones of teal and blues, with peach and maroons throughout and using various metallics like copper, rose gold and gold accents. I’m a big fan of texture variation, so we selected soft velvety linens, wooden chargers and metal flatware, and our florals will encompass various types of foliage and blooms.
I’m excited to pick out a few more details and finalize our wedding day paper goods!
Feel free to comment below if there are any specifics that you’d like to hear about during my wedding planning process!
